Saints help win the U18 Winter Championships

Members of the Saints help Ringwood Districts win the Under 18 Winter Championships

The 2014 Under 18 Winter Championship was held at Geelong last weekend and although the weather was not ideal there was still enough baseball played for everyone to catch a glimpse of the future stars of the Winter competition.

The Ringwood Districts team were undefeated in their Saturday games, besting Dandenong 11-6 and then downing hosts Geelong 8-0. Unfortunately all round 3 games were washed out.

With a 5-2 win over Bendigo on Sunday morning the team moved straight into the Grand final against the also undefeated Diamond Valley team.

The players were outstanding in the final and took the Under 18 title with a 11-0 victory.

Congratulations to Ringwood Saints members Ryan Bromley, Oliver Dunn, Jacob Evans, Kayne Hillier, Riley Hodgson, Nicholas Mason, Ravi Patel along with Coach: Russell Hodgson, E.O: Carl Kingston and Scorer: Leah Hodgson.
