Recap: Round 8, 14th June

Our A1 team had their late charge at victory cut shot by rain. We allowed Research get away to an early 4-0 lead before we were able to claw our way back to trail by one. We were still batting when the game was called off due to the rain and the 4-3 score line remained.

The A2 team also dropped their game to Research 5-3 and will have to come home with a wet sail if they are to play finals at the end of the season.

A3 have now won 2 of their last three games with a 9-1 victory over North Bawlyn. 

For the second game in a row A4 were on the wrong side of a 4-6 scoreline. Surely a lucky bounce or a blooper our way is just around the corner, otherwise a sacrifice to the baseball gods is on the cards.

Good wins for both C1 and C2 against Upwey FTG . Leggy started and threw very well. Our defense was sensational and most guys got at least 1 hit with many hard hits balls, again, going straight to fielders. Thanks to DMAC who umpired – Great job. Final score 6-0.

C2 remain undefeated after surviving a late challenge, winning 5-4 in another competitive game against Upwey FTG.

D2 maintain their position on top of the ladder with a 13-8 win over Westgarth.

U17 against Knox (result unknown).

U15 against Heathmont (result unknown).

U13 deafeted the North Bawlyn Bees 8-0 and hold top spot on the ladder.
