Thank you to those who attended our Dinner on the Diamond last week – a fantastic night with a good mix of junior and senior members in attendance. The Club’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) was held on the 6th February where the committee for 2017 was elected. Norm Crebbin was re-elected club President and some other familiar faces were also re-elected to various positions.
Congratulations to all the award winners at our 2016 Senior Presentation Night. Thank you to our committee and coaches for all their work throughout the season. The club has built a great foundation for an exciting 2017 season.
Congratulations to our A3 team for winning the 2016 Grand Final. After finishing the home and away season undefeated, they progressed to the grand final with a convincing 11-2 win in week one of the finals. The grand final was a little tougher and took 2 weeks, 4 hours, 45 minutes and 15 innings, before the title was decided.
The MWBL finals start this week for all grades except A grade and B grade, who will play their final round on Sunday. We have a number of teams competing throughout the day and ask all of our members, friends and supports to get to one of more of the games listed below as we try to make a good 2016 season great. The final home and away round is here for 5 of our 6 senior teams. Its a big week as 4 of the 5 are looking to lock up a finals spot. Our firsts also need to win to keep their finals chances alive. Good luck this week Sainters.
Our A1 team are still in finals contention and with a game against another top 4 team, this is a massive round. A Sinners crowd is sure to add some vocal support. Some of our other teams are starting to fine tune before finals. Good luck this week Sainters.
