A Quadruple Play!
History was made on Saturday as three generations of the Rogers family took the field for the A4 match against Forest Hill.
Peter (Life member and the club’s games played record holder) was joined by sons Cameron and Jonathon. This is nothing new for the club as all three Rogers have amassed over 2000 senior games for the Saints and have been playing regularly together for quite some time.
However, Saturday saw Cameron’s son Mason join the trio for the first time on the field and together they were able to help the Saints to a 13-11 win.
To add to the family affair, Peter’s wife Alison (also a Life member) and their daughter Emily were also in attendance (Emily was the scorer for the A4 game).
On behalf of everyone at the Saints, congratulations to the Rogers family on this historic event, we think it will be a long, long time before another family can lay claim to achieving the same feat.
